Giles Morris was born in Washington D.C. on April 15th, 1975, the son of a journalist and a US Congressional press secretary. He attended St. Albans School, Princeton University, and Harvard Divinity School.
He has worked as a freelance writer in New York City, a high school teacher on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, an after school program director in Dorchester, Massachusetts, and a community organizer on Chicago's south side.
Giles is the author of the unpublished novel Selector. His collection of short stories, The Hawkcatcher and Other Stories , and his serial narrative true-fiction project Westing are both available at GoWesting.Com .
His writing has appeared in The Chicago Journal , The Chicago Reader , The History Channel , CycleConnections.Com , 90:00 Soccer Magazine , and pitchforkmedia.com, among other places.
